Frances McDormand in Good People Inspires a Great Portrait from Squigs

Oscar winner Frances McDormand is back on Broadway in David Lindsay-Abaire’s Good People as a hard-luck South Boston mom so desperate to find a job that she contacts an old flame (Tate Donovan) who escaped the neighborhood and became a doctor. Broadway.com’s resident artist Justin ‘Squigs’ Robertson traveled to Southie—via Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre—to capture McDormand, Donovan and co-stars Renee Elise Goldsberry, Becky Ann Baker, Estelle Parsons and Patrick Carroll. The play's limited engagement has already been extended before its March 3 Broadway opening night, so make plans to meet these Good People soon.

About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet.
